Irfaana (Ana) Ismail

Founder and CTO

Irfaana (Ana) Ismail is a data warehousing expert and AI leader with more than twenty years of experience designing, building, and operating large-scale enterprise data and analytics systems, including complex SAP-based environments. She has spent her career developing dynamic, scalable business intelligence platforms and resilient data warehouses for major defense, telecom, banking, and retail institutions across Africa and the MENA region.

A specialist in large data models, enterprise-grade data architecture, and long-lived analytics systems, Ana founded and led FXL+, where she developed one of the most accurate currency strength meters on the market. The platform combined advanced algorithms, robust data engineering, and intuitive dashboards to deliver actionable insight in highly dynamic financial environments. Her work consistently bridged rigorous technical execution with real-world decision support.

At G2S, Ana is a driving force behind the company’s AI-fueled SaaS evolution. She leads datafication initiatives, AI and machine learning integration, and the design of enterprise-grade system architecture that transforms complex data into durable operational systems and competitive intelligence. Her focus is on building data foundations and AI capabilities that remain reliable, governable, and valuable over time.

A 2024 Nasdaq Milestone Circles cohort member, Ana is also a committed advocate for women in technology in developing countries and her native South Africa. She brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise, product vision, and long-term system thinking to the G2S platform.
